Boogedy Boogedy Boo!

From the "why hasn't this ever been officially released on dvd!?!?!" file comes Mr. Boogedy (1986) and its sequel, Bride of Boogedy (1987).

Originally aired as an episode of "The Disney Sunday Movie" on ABC. It tells the continuing story of the Davis family and their encounters with an evil 300-year-old ghost in the fictional New England town of Lucifer Falls (best.town name.ever).

This was my all-time favorite Disney Sunday Movie series. It was just the right combo of little kid fright and humor. He still looks super creepy with his hooded and creepy pizza face. For whatever reason Disney never officially released it, but you can watch bootlegs of it on youtube and various other places. 

I have no idea what triggered this bit of nostalgia, but a quick search on google gives me solace that i'm not the only 80's kid who feels this way.

I really love the graphics at the Vancouver Olympics. The system is quite nice and has a very artistic and layered aesthetic. An article over on Fuel Your Creativity talks about the design team and other things.

Interesting

This poster has interesting colors and odd (in a good way) image balance happening. I love the bottom half a little bit more than the "contractually obligated" stuff at the top.

Well thats pretty interesting. Those odd blue lines are finally explained. My first thought was that those lines are going to make all the Sports Illustrated images from the games look really dated and kinda ugly.

The Mystery of Whats In The Safe

With the passing of JD Sallinger one of the biggest literary legends may be solved in the near future. Salinger a famous recluse, was rumored to have been writing secret novels that he stashed in his personal safe. It was also rumored that he has specific directions in his will to destroy all these unpublished stories upon his death. We'll see what happens. Read the full AP Obituary article here.

Stories about a possible Salinger trove have been around for a long time. In 1999, New Hampshire neighbor Jerry Burt said the author had told him years earlier that he had written at least 15 unpublished books kept locked in a safe at his home. A year earlier, author and former Salinger girlfriend Joyce Maynard had written that Salinger used to write daily and had at least two novels stored away.
