Blogging is hard.

The internet in my opinion is the greatest invention since Gutenberg's printing press. Its freed up information and is the embodiment of freedom of speech. And with that we have something called a blog. In some ways it is an exercise in narcissism, where any old person can have their voice made public no matter how big or small. Its great. Its also funny. Its valuable and worthless at the same time. In other words...i kinda sorta like it.

I'm no Luddite, But this blogging business is a bit difficult. I mean you can do this, but you can't do that. There are templates and software. There is embed codes and subscriptions. You can only paste something if you do this and that to the thing with that guy at the place where someone went that one time after twittering the blog roll of the email link post that crashed due to the digg effect.

In other words. I'm still trying to figure it out...

This is funny and well done. I don't know how they did it, but if somone sat there and drew paths frame by frame with a masking type thing, then i give you much credit sir or madam. Thats illuminated manuscript kind of patience.

As a graphic designer i know that i'm supposed to hate contemporary movie poster design. Yes they rely on tricks and gimmicks and they could use a little more "Swiss-ness" to the type treatment, but they still are a big part of our visual culture.
